February 5 was the penultimate Saturday session of the 2005 MTG Mathematics Challenge for Filipino Kids Training Program. Students spent this session reviewing past lessons in preparation for the final examinations slated on February 19.

The performance of the MTG trainees in the final exam shall constitute part of the criteria used in determining the qualifiers to the next stage of this annual search for Filipino delegates to international mathematics contests. Other factors included in the criteria are their attendance during the Saturday sessions and the scores that they get in the quizzes and the correspondence-type contests.

The next stage of the MTG-MCFKTP is the Intensive In-house Training Program, a four-day event that will be participated in by the top trainees from all MTG training centers in the Philippines. This year's In-house Training would be held in Tagaytay for the elementary students and in Bacolod for the high school students.
