The individual finals of the 2005 Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Mathematics Challenge for the National Capital Region was held last February 12 at San Francisco High School.

Participants who reached this stage of the contest qualified by topping their respective divisions in the elimination round held last January 29 in various testing centers around the metropolis.

For each grade level, awards would be handed out to the top ten scorers from the private and the public schools in their respective Sectoral Finals.

Scores would then be combined and the top ten scorers among all the NCR participants would be given awards during the Regional Finals.

For the Grade 6 and the 4th year high school participants, there is an added incentive for being the individual regional champion. The winners from both levels would then represent the region in the National Finals, where huge cash prizes are at stake.
