Ask: MTG Kids tell us what they think
My favorite moments so far in the MTG are when I represented our country in the India 2nd Elementary Mathematics Intecity Competition in Lucknow, where I got two bronze medals, and in the 2nd International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary Schools, where I also got a bronze medal. Kevin Yambao, Gr. 6 Pateros Elementary School My favorite moment in MTG is when I represented the Philippines in the IEMIC last September, after which we went to an exciting tour of India. It was very fun. Victorio Vicher, Gr. 6 San Antonio Elementary School ![]() Kevin Yambao and Victorio Vicher on their way home from an international competition in India When I participated in the In-house Training Program in Davao last April 2004. It was exciting there, with the palatable food, the cozy beds, and all the great and informative lessons that they taught us there. I had fun since I love learning, especially about math. I learned about factorials, solving linear equations, and much, much more! We also got to know and visit a different part of the Philippines, and even see the different species there. We even watched a bird show! Ma. Regina S. Onglao, Gr. 7, St. Paul’s College, Pasig My favorite moment so far is when I got to meet new people. I got to make a lot of new friends and I learned about the different schools in Metro Manila. Courtney Mathay, Gr. 6 Poveda Learning Center When we took the MOEMS (Mathematics Olympiad for Elementary and Middle Schools-USA). The test was very challenging. I was not able to answer all the problems correctly, but I liked it very much. Julian Vargas, Gr. 6 La Salle Greenhills The sessions! These sessions really helped me a lot not only academically but also in my social and emotional development. I got the chance to meet new friends from other schools and solve different math problems with them. Not only that, I also learned a lot of techniques to solve these. Nikki, Gr. 7 St. Paul’s College, Pasig My favorite moment in MTG is when we had our first quiz. It was hard yet exciting. Anonymous Nothing so far, because I like them all! Sometimes, the lessons are easy. Sometimes they are hard. Hey, but I guess we have to suffer sometimes to learn well. Anonymous |
