The MTG Young Mathematicians' Intensive In-House Program affected my perspective about math. I became more interested in it. I met many intelligent mathematicians. I learned techniques, and even discovered some myself. Now, I can solve problems that I wasn't able to answer before. I became proud of myself because I'm not just looking at my classmates while they are solving math problems in school anymore. I am solving them too! Continue nourishing the intelligent minds of Filipinos. Keep up the good work, MTG!




I will never forget the lessons and strategies that I have learned during the training. The problems were very challenging, but I still tried to solve them. I am a bit happy when I get correct answers, but I am not disappointed whenever I don't. I will also never forget my new friends who have been kind to me. I won't forget the games we played, the songs we sang, and how happy we were to meet each other.




I would like to tell all kids to join the MTG because it is the best way to improve your Math skills. Joining the MTG helps you master the problems that others may find difficult in school. If you persevere, you can even join international competitions in other countries. But even if you don't, the most important thing is that you learned plenty of lessons.




When I am at home, I wake up very late. But here in the In-House Training Program, I have learned to wake up early without someone telling me to do so. That's just one of the significant things that I have learned here.




Being here without my family is a first for me. Having no one to guide or take care of me during the four-day stay strengthened my independence. Much more than all the formulas and lessons, I learned something that will be very useful in the future - working by myself.




The MTG In-House Training Program has taught me a whole new way of looking at mathematical problems. It has also taught me to love math more as a subject and as an obstacle that you have to go through every single day of your life.




The MTG In-House Training Program made me a well-disciplined person. It taught me what to do when I am away from my parents. It taught me to eat food without leftovers. It made me make friends with people even if I don't know them. It taught me not to be shy. It made me more active. Not only did my perspective about math get affected, but my whole life as well.




To all aspiring mathematicians: Study harder. Try to pursue your dreams. Remember, "Excellence is not being the best. It's doing your best."




It feels great to be one of the participants representing my school and city. I am very satisfied already and it does not matter if I pass or not. Since I did my best, I have no regrets.




I would like to thank the MTG for giving me such an opportunity to develop my talents and to be independent. It did help me a lot. Thank you too for the chance to see other places such as Tagaytay City and to have many new friends. You've helped me grow to become a better student. I want to thank the MTG for the opportunity to join an event such as this In-House Training. It didn't only improve our math skills, but it also taught us independence. I thank God for giving us skilled individuals, who in return, share their knowledge to children across the country. It was a great experience for me because this is just my first time to join MTG and I already reached this far. I learned many topics that are very interesting. Maybe in the future, it can help in my studies. The teachers were also great. They taught us lessons that I just learned about in this program. I also met new friends. Finally, the training venue here in Tagaytay is great. The place where we hold our sessions in the 5th floor is nice because I can see the view outside.




I feel great. Because of MTG, I was able to go to Cebu, Davao, and now, Tagaytay. Here, I experienced living without my mother, learning many things, and meeting new friends. Also, I feel very happy because I know many joined the MTG but only a few were chosen for the In-House Training.




I feel like I am studying in college because we sleep away from home and just go to the classrooms whenever we have classes. Sometimes, my mind can't absorb what the teachers are teaching me and I don't know why. But I am very happy because this is a great wish granted.




I feel happy because the MTG has helped me develop my math skills. I realized that without MTG, I would have a harder time solving math problems. I also feel lucky to have something such as MTG in my time, because I have an opportunity to show my skills - unlike my father who had none to show his talents to or to develop his skills. MTG also inspired me to work harder and follow the footsteps of great mathematicians. It also taught me that there is always a way to answer the hardest and longest math problems.




The YMIITP improved my skills in math. It gave me more knowledge in this field. But aside from math, the MTG also trained me for four days to be independent. Math is fun and more enjoyable with MTG! It was such a pleasure to be a YMIITP participant!




It was a good experience to be here in Tagaytay. I'm not really good in Math, but I tried hard to get here. I'm happy to be here. Mabait ang mga estudyante at magaling magturo ang mga guro. Masaya ang pakiramdam dito. Madami akong mga bagong kaibigan.




Thank you MTG for giving me this opportunity to better myself in the field of math. It also helped me become more responsible and hardworking. I hope the MTG will go on forever. I have realized that math is very useful, so thank you.




I got a letter on the second day of our final exams. At first, I didn't expect that it came from the MTG. But once I did, I got excited and opened it. I found out that I passed for the In-House Training Program and was proud of myself for being one of the representatives of our school and city. I was also proud because my discount grew bigger from 10% last year to 25% this year. That day, I wasn't able to concentrate on my exams!




Before, I thought of math as something people can master with drills. During the In-House Training Program, I realized that memorization of multiplication tables and formulas are not the only keys to higher math knowledge. Technique, analysis, and understanding are also necessities. I also thought before that math is easy as long as you have read the textbook. That, I realized, was not true, as you have to explore, listen, and pay attention as well.
