As a primer to the highly anticipated MTG Young Mathematicians' Intensive In-House Training Program next week, let's first take a look back at last year's YMIITP, starting with the elementary event held in Tagaytay City from April 1 to 4, 2005.


In-House Training to be Held in Ilo-ilo and Antipolo

The Mathematics Trainers' Guild official website (http://www.mtgphil.org) recently announced that the cities of Ilo-ilo and Antipolo are going to be the host cities of the 2006 MTG Young Mathematicians' Intensive In-House Training Program. The training program for elementary will be held in the Ilo-ilo Grand Hotel from April 2 to 5, while the training program for high school will be held in St. Michael's Retreat House from April 9 to 12.


MTG Kid from Public School Tops Math Tilt in Ateneo

Darwin Ivan Carrasco, a grade 6 student from Pamplona Elementary School, entered the 4th Ateneo Mathematics Olympiad for Grade School as the lone participant coming from a public school. He walked away as the lone gold medallist from that event.
